Presents from stores are becoming totally overrated. I mean how many times can you gift your mother-in-law perfume.. or a Bath and Bodyworks gift basket before it gets to the point where she already knows what she’s getting before she even opens the present.
Yeahhh… I hope I’m not the only one. Anyway, I’ve really been considering making my own gifts this year but two things are stopping me -
- I’m busy — ain’t nobody got time for trying out recipes, especially me
- I’m a little intimidated
I’m good at making food but making DIY beauty products, ehhh, it’s definitely not my norm. Sure, I could go to my trusty friend Google but when I type in “homemade beauty products,” a million and one recipes come up. Sorry Goggle, I’m breaking up with you because you’ve just made this task a million and one times harder.
How the hell am I supposed to pick from all of these? I don’t have time to read every single review and I really don’t have time dealing with any trials and errors that may arise (and with my luck, they surely will).
The last thing I want to do is surprise my mother-in-law with a DIY gift and it makes her face break out into a rash or discolors her hair. Yikes — I’d never live that one down. “Oh wait, I was supposed to mix this with that first!?”
However I feel my luck is turning because I just discovered the bible of not just DIY beauty recipes but the bible of ORGANIC beauty recipes!
THIS book my friends, is the bible of DIY Beauty Recipes, and the only book you’ll need to make your homemade gifts for the rest of your gift-making life.

Avoid Dangerous Toxic Chemicals by Making Beauty Products Yourself
Most, if not all, conventional beauty products have more chemicals than you and I can count. To make it worse, even so-called organic and “all-natural” products contain questionable ingredients and let’s face it, they’re pricey!
In DIY Organic Beauty, Heather states:
“Right now experts estimate that most of us have an average of 700 chemicals coursing through our bodies, many of which were lathered into our hair before we could write our ABC’s: potent hormone disruptors, formaldehyde and cancer-causing 1,4 dioxane to name a few.” — DIY Organic Beauty Recipes
But what about all those delicious fragrances that come with store-bought beauty products? Well, they are not so delicious when you are aware of what’s behind the creation of them.
“The average fragrance product tested contained 14 secret chemicals not listed on the label. Among them are chemicals associated with hormone disruption and allergic reactions, and many substances [66%] that have not been assessed for safety in personal care products.” They then go on to note that these chemicals are also found in other personal care products containing fragrance. –DIY Organic Beauty Recipes
Yikes!! Nooo thank you.
You can feel confident when making these recipes because they only contain pure essential oils with no hidden hormone disrupting chemicals.
DIY Gifts Are Cheaper and More Fun!
Why spend your money on something like this that contains harmful chemicals? Notice how you can only give one person this gift.
When you can make something more thoughtful, more personal, and more nourishing like this? You can make a big batch so you can give them to 4 or 5 people, plus save a little extra for yourself (you need pampering too, girl).
