Dairy-Free Chai Tea Latte

Ingredients
  • ⅔ cup boiling water
  • 2 chai tea bags (this is what I use)
  • ½ cup coconut milk (I have tried various coconut milks and this one tastes the best)
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins collagen peptides (find it here)
  • 1-3 tsp pure maple syrup (depends on personal taste)
  • organic cinnamon, to sprinkle
Instructions
  1. Add two tea bags to ⅔ cup boiling water; let steep for 5-6 minutes
  2. *If using an espresso machine*
  3. Place ½ cup coconut milk in a 2 cup measuring glass or frothing cup and froth until warm.
  4. Place maple syrup and collagen peptides into a coffee mug and pour concentrated chai into the mug; mix well
  5. Add in frothed coconut milk; stir well
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon
  7. *If using handheld frother*
  8. While tea is steeping, warm ¼ cup of coconut milk on the stove; being careful not to boil it.
  9. Once the coconut milk is warm, pour into a mug and add collagen peptides, tea, and maple syrup
  10. In a measuring cup, froth the remaining ¼ cup of coconut milk and pour into mug; stir well
  11. Top with cinnamon
